Santa Monica, CA January 7 2004--Coyote R&D announces the worldwide launch of its Musi-Can PC digital audio workstation -- a 1U high, 13 inch deep, high performance, rackmount PC that can stream hundreds of voices effortlessly from any soft-sampler or soft-synthesizer.
The Musi-Can is a ready to go, out of the box, turnkey computer solution for the professional musician. With the ability to drop into any Mac or PC environment, the Musi-Can is a leap forward in ease of use and compactness. Using Coyote R&D’s remote control software, an entire rack of Musi-Cans can be controlled by a single PC or Mac, right from the desktop, without the need for any additional monitors, mice, keyboards, or KVM switchboxes.
In addition, Coyote R&D has also released the world’s first cross-platform MIDI over network drivers for both PC and Mac. With up to 256 MIDI ports per machine, each Musi-Can has a fat MIDI pipe with 3000x the bandwidth of a standard MIDI cable -- all automatically configured, all automatically routed.
Features:
Rackmount, only 1U high and 13 inches deep, containing a complete, fully configured, high performance PC.
NetMIDI drivers - 256 ports of MIDI over network, cross-platform PC (Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2K/XP) and Mac (OS 8.x-9.x and OS X) drivers, with setup free auto-configuration.
Remote Control - Full, cross-platform, remote control with low CPU utilization, for both PC and Mac. No additional monitors, mice, keyboards, or KVM switchboxes needed.
Acousi-Therm™ monitoring software for fully automatic control of fan speeds. Acousti-Therm™ keeps your Musi-Can cool, even on stage under a baking sun.
Restore and Recover CD - Fully automatic, multi-level recovery CD with restoration to factory specs without any loss of your data.
A completely stripped down, optimized, and stabilized Windows operating system that gives you hundreds of streaming voices without any pops or clicks.
